General Questions

What is ConstructionHands.com?

ConstructionHands.com is a free construction industry job board connecting skilled construction workers with employers across all sectors of the construction industry. Whether you’re looking for work in residential, commercial, industrial, pipeline, energy, or infrastructure construction, ConstructionHands is designed specifically for the construction trades.

Is ConstructionHands.com really free?

Yes! ConstructionHands is completely free for both job seekers AND employers. Candidates can create accounts, upload resumes, search for jobs, and apply to positions at no cost. Employers can also post jobs for free and search for candidates who have applied to their listed positions. Our revenue comes from optional job promotion packages and advertising — not from posting fees. We believe in removing barriers between construction professionals and opportunities. Make certain to read our About Us page.

What types of construction jobs are listed?

We cover the full spectrum of the construction industry including:

Field Trades: Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, concrete, masonry, painting, roofing, demolition, heavy equipment operation, pipefitting, and more.

Specialty Sectors: Pipeline construction, power & energy, AI/data center construction, industrial facilities, marine & offshore, telecommunications, and infrastructure.

Management & Office: Project managers, superintendents, estimators, safety managers, engineers, schedulers, QC inspectors, and executive leadership.

Corporate & Support: Accounting (AP/AR), HR, administration, IT, procurement, legal, marketing, logistics, and business development.

Support Services: Chefs and cooks (man-camps and company housing), site security, medical/first aid, transportation, and facility maintenance.

Do you list jobs for all experience levels?

Absolutely. We have opportunities ranging from entry-level laborers and apprentices to journeymen, master tradespeople, project managers, and senior executives. Our categories also include internships, apprenticeships, and trade school programs for those just starting their construction career.

For Job Seekers (Candidates)

How do I create a candidate account?

Click the “Candidate Registration” button on our homepage. Fill in your basic information, and you’ll have immediate access to browse job listings, save favorites, and apply to positions. We recommend completing your profile and uploading a resume to increase your visibility to employers.

Can I search for specific types of jobs (W2, 1099, union)?

Yes. Our advanced search filters let you narrow results by employment type including Full-Time, Part-Time, Contract (W2), Contract (1099), Temporary, Seasonal, Temp-to-Hire, Apprenticeship, Per Diem, and Travel/Out-of-Town positions. You can also filter by trade, location, salary range, experience level, and required certifications.

Do you support military veterans?

Yes! ConstructionHands proudly supports veterans transitioning into construction careers. Veterans receive a priority boost in our system, increasing visibility to employers. Many construction trades align directly with military MOS codes, and we help match veteran skills with appropriate civilian construction roles.

Can I set up job alerts?

Yes. Once registered, you can create custom job alerts based on keywords, location, job category, and employment type. You’ll receive email notifications when new jobs matching your criteria are posted, so you can be among the first to apply.

Do you support different employment classifications?

Yes. When posting a job, you can specify the employment type (W2, 1099, union, non-union), include information about workplace organization, and clearly communicate the terms of employment. This helps match candidates with positions that fit their preferences and qualifications.

About Man-Camp & Support Roles

Why do you list chefs, cooks, and other non-trade positions?

Large construction projects — especially pipeline, energy, and remote industrial projects — operate man-camps, company-rented hotels, and field offices that require a full support staff. This includes chefs and cooks, camp managers, housekeeping, medical staff (EMTs, site medics), security personnel, and transportation drivers. These are essential construction industry positions that are often hard to fill, and we’re proud to help connect these professionals with opportunities.
